Front Body Recess… The Type III ambulance body is designed with an 8" recess into the front of the body. This area allows for additional seat recline for the driver and passenger comfort. Radios and other equipment can also be stored in this area keeping walkthrough from cab to body clear.

Rubber Mounting Donuts… The ambulance body is mounted to the chassis frame via Ford provided and required rubber mounting donuts. This mounting system has been tested by Ford Motor Company to provide the safest mounting method to the chassis frame. The rubber donuts allow the cab and body to move independently and not work against each other.

KKK Certification… All of our ambulance vehicles have been tested and certified to all aspects of the Federal Specification KKK-A-1822. These regulations attest to the safety and durability of the ambulance body in the event of a crash or roll over as well as providing a component guideline for ambulance vehicles. AMD testing criteria for Static Load, seat belt, cot mount and oxygen bottle retention are just some the tests where our vehicles have exceeded all industry requirements.

Side Impact safety rail is welded into the body sides and door frames at car impact height to aid in protecting the ambulance and it’s occupants from injury in the event of impact. Others claim to have impact resistant design, but no one else in the industry places them in the doors!
